Start with the task, not a guessed answer

The tool directory separates map geometry from game ballistics because those claims have different evidence requirements. A geometry tool can calculate a bearing from coordinates with transparent mathematics. A firing tool cannot safely invent charge or elevation when the current build has not supplied a repeatable source. Pick the tool that matches the decision in front of you, then read the boundary printed beside its result.

The firing planner is the broadest operational tool. Use that tool when a report gives a target point, a spotter vector, or two bearings. The planner tool gives you target coordinates, range, and bearing from the Nest. It can also attach manually read shell values to a local firing card. The planner tool never sends coordinates, labels, or output to Neon or analytics.

Use the firing table only when it has rows

The firing table tool is intentionally empty when no current-build row passes every gate. A row needs a qualified shell record, an exact range, charge, elevation, explicit units, a matching build, and official or current-observed evidence. If one field fails, the tool withholds the entire row. An empty tool is safer than a confident table assembled from an old screenshot or an unexplained community formula.

When qualified rows become available, the same firing table tool will render them with source, build, verification date, and print styling. The automated content job can add rows without rewriting the tool. The publication rule stays fixed: candidate, stale, conflicted, or unit-ambiguous values never enter operational output.

Separate ballistics from map geometry

The ballistics calculator is a two-stage tool. Its first stage calculates flat-map range and clockwise bearing from the origin to the target. That stage is deterministic and available now. Its second stage checks the firing table for an exact shell and exact range. The second stage refuses interpolation, extrapolation, or a community approximation. The tool tells you which stage produced each value.

This separation prevents a common transfer error. A mathematically correct map range is not automatically a game charge. A correct bearing in degrees is not automatically the value expected by a control labelled in mils. The calculator tool prints degrees, NATO mils, and Warsaw mils so the convention remains visible.

Compare a loadout without declaring a winner

The loadout tool uses narrow objectives such as bunker breach, friendly withdrawal screen, chemical effect reference, or visible-code identification. It matches only an exact documented field. A matching role does not prove damage, cost, availability, mission legality, or superiority. The tool therefore returns a source-qualified comparison, not a universal tier list.

Use that tool before opening the detailed ammunition record. Confirm the mission order and current requisition state inside the game. If the comparison tool has no matching record, do not treat the absence as proof that no shell can perform the task. It means the public dataset does not support the recommendation yet.

Convert angles with the named convention

The mils converter is a pure conversion tool. It supports a full circle of 360 degrees, 6400 NATO mils, or 6000 Warsaw Pact mils. The tool preserves both zero and the full-circle endpoint. It rejects negative values, values beyond the selected circle, blanks, and non-finite input. Labels stay attached to every result so a bare number is never mistaken for another convention.

Use the converter tool when a source and an interface use different units. Do not use it to infer which convention the game expects. That question requires a labelled current-client observation. Conversion can preserve a known angle; it cannot identify an unknown unit.

Keep progress private and portable

The progress tracker is the only tool in this directory that writes persistent state. It stores completed entity IDs and a schema version in local browser storage. The tool does not create an account, synchronize across devices, or upload progress. A user-initiated export downloads a readable JSON file. Reset asks for confirmation when it would erase completed items.

The progress tool catalog comes from qualified mission, achievement, medal, punchcard, and requisition records. When the public catalog changes, unknown retired IDs are removed during local recovery. The tool reports that recovery rather than silently pretending an old entry still maps to a current page.

Evidence and privacy apply to every tool

Every tool works without a user account. Search text, coordinates, range, bearing, shell selection, converter input, progress state, and export contents are excluded from analytics. Approved pages may record only a normalized page view. Tool inputs stay in page memory unless a tool explicitly offers local save.

For factual review, open the source ledger or the qualified database. For unresolved community claims, open Community Radar. Radar is a diagnostic route, not an operational tool source. This structure lets the site collect candidates without allowing them to leak into a firing result.
